completely new rebrand
This rebranding project for the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System Board of Education Police Department (BOEPD) aimed to reshape how students and the community perceive school-based policing. Our goal was to transform BOEPD from a traditional enforcement body into a trusted, approachable presence that educates, mentors, and protects.

The biggest challenge was addressing public perception. Traditional law enforcement visuals often felt intimidating in a school environment. The team needed to create a visual and verbal language that communicated safety and authority without fear or distance.

The final rebrand redefined BOEPD’s identity into one that feels human, inclusive, and future-focused. The refreshed logo, modern typography, and bright, reassuring color palette positioned BOEPD as both a protector and partner in education.
Community-focused initiatives like Sergeant Star and student engagement programs made the department’s message more accessible and memorable, helping foster long-term trust between officers and the communities they serve. The rebrand establishes BOEPD as a national model for school safety communication, one where mentorship and protection go hand in hand.
